On behalf of the Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation of Canada, we invite you to attend The Benefit Gala for Ekal Vidyalaya on Friday, December 1st at the Royal King Palace in Surrey, BC. This memorable evening will include delicious Indian food, Entertainment from all regions of India, live and silent auctions, and plenty of opportunities to meet and mingle with other likeminded community members.

This Charity Gala is an effort to raise awareness of this incredible cause to Canadians and help lower the illiteracy rate in India. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to help build 100 schools in rural and tribal India which will educate 3000 children for an entire year! Yes, that is all it takes.

As residents of this great nation, which gives us so much, we often take education for granted, while rural India still lacks access to even the most basic education. So lets join hands to help eradicate illiteracy from rural India to allow every child to reach their true potential. And since there is a strong correlation between illiteracy, poverty, and disease, we will be simultaneously eradicating poverty and disease as well.
